Heart Art by Dallas artist Tanner Montgomery Lawley
HeartSpeak
Did you know that
your heart speaks words
known only to me?
Enticing phrases formed
that excite and enrapture,
intended just for me.
Each delicious syllable
declared and delivered
lovingly to me.
Every imaginable translation
faithfully interpreted
perfectly by me.
A Most Romantic Interlude
Patiently we waited for that
perfect place in time,
if spontaneous or planned,
we knew it would be sublime.
Not wanting any of the passion
and pure rapture to subside,
only trusting that our love
would unequivocally preside.
In sync with the gentle rhythm
heart to heart as we embrace,
my mind delights as you tantalize
in your delicate soft lace.
Enamored with your silken skin
and warm sweet sighs
it’s you I desire most tonight,
as you melt into my eyes.
Passionate Play
Sight of you, my heart melts, quick pulsations.
Stomach quakes, excitement, contemplations.
Tongues tangle, taste delight, still makes us grin.
So much joy, wonderment, such soft sweet skin.
Lips quiver, tender kiss, passionate play.
Take a break, amusement, whipped cream parfait.
Burn some fat, engage abs, feel muscles flex.
Just like that, amazement, 3-D effects!
Eyes twinkle, toes twinge, candlelight fun.
Catch our breath, contentment, together one.
Always know, I promise you, romantic days,
Love in sync, commitment, with passion plays.
A note from Chris
Recently, I got to spend some time visiting with Tanner Lawley at his art gallery here in Plano, Texas. He is energetic, engaging and easy-going, as well as very talented. I think we kind of hit it off and now we are considering doing some collaborative work in the future perhaps. Here is a little bit of background and biographical info on Tanner from his web site.
Contemporary artist, Tanner Lawley, paints from a place that is based solely out of love, abundance and his compassion for others. Growing up in a small town, southeast of Dallas, Tanner’s love of art started in grade school. In his teens he began to work for his father’s painting business, which had a contract with the Dallas Museum of Arts. They would tear down, rebuild, and paint the exhibition walls for the upcoming shows.
After graduating from business school in May of 1999, Tanner moved to Nashville and started working in the bar and nightclub scene. Due to his large size, and friendly demeanor, he became well connected in the Nashville area. A natural “people-person” he began to run in circles with several celebrity musicians and athletes, often performing security and bodyguard jobs for several events and parties across the US. After a years of partying and poor choices that left him homeless, he began to sell his paintings and drawing as a means to put food on the table.
He began to bounce around from job to job leading him to start his own handyman business. In June of 2006, he began working for a few Dallas artists by the names of JD Miller, Emil Cerullo, and Corky Pearson. This led him to work art exhibitions with an internationally acclaimed list of artists such as Peter Max, Alexandra Nechita, Pierre Matisse and Alexandre Renoir. After surrounding himself with this group of artists, Tanner began to paint and create on a daily basis. In just one year, he began to selling his oil paintings to designers and individual collectors.
Tanner paints and lives in Allen, TX, his wife D’Anne, and daughter Haven.
